Battery Recycling Plants

Battery Recycling has become an intricate part of waste Battery management for most parts of the country. Battery Recycling by definition is the reuse of materials of Battery, that would ordinarily be considered waste. Battery recycling plants require that the batteries be sorted according to chemistries. Some sorting must be done prior to the battery arriving at the recycling plants. Nickel-cadmium, nickel-metal-hydride, lithium-ion and Lead acid are placed in designated boxes at the collection point. Battery recyclers claim that if a steady stream of batteries, sorted by chemistry, were available at no charge, recycling would be profitable. But preparation and transportation add to the cost.

All the elements of batteries are recycled and reused by manufacturing companies, which reduces the impact on the environment. Recycling reclaims a non-renewable resource.

The batteries are collected, dismantled and separated. The Lead is smelted, then refined. The plastic jars, cases and covers are cleaned, ground, extruded and molded into new plastic parts in our on-site injection molding division. The acid is reclaimed in Acid Reclamation Plant.

Everything in Lead-acid batteries recycles from the Lead components to their polypropylene plastic battery cases, even the battery acids, pure Lead and Lead alloys from the batteries' Lead components, which are interchangeable with primary (mined) Lead. Recycled Lead is supplied to manufacturers and used in all segments of the Lead industry, including battery manufacturing, Lead chemicals, and fabricated products, such as solder for computer circuits, shielding for X-ray machines, soundproofing for architecture, and oxides for the glass in computer monitors. Recycled plastic is provided for reuse to plastic compounders and fabricators for use in new battery cases and other consumer products. The acid from the recycled batteries is used to produce sodium sulfate for use in the plup and paper industry, and also as a stabilizer in common laundry detergents.

A Battery Recycling Plant’s working

  • Spent or used batteries are collected from various sources.
  • Spent batteries are taken to recycling facilities where they are broken down and separated into components to begin the recycling process.
  • Lead, plastic and acid are separately send for the further recycling process.
  • Plastic recycled from old batteries and are used to manufacture battery covers and cases.
  • From battery grid Lead ingots are recycled and Lead oxides are used to manufacture new battery grids and components.
  • Sodium sulfate crystals separated from old batteries acid are recycled and used for various purposes.

Our goal is to provide pollution free Lead Acid Battery Recycling Plant. Contact Us for a detailed evaluation of your needs.
