Acid Draining System / Acid Neutralization System

Batteries which are obtained with acid are to be made dry drained before taking into further processing. This is essential due to the presence of dilute acid in a scrap Lead Acid Battery.

The batteries are obtained from various sources & stored at thefactory premises from where they are taken to the acid collection & drainage area. The acid from these dead batteries are taken out using Hydraulically operated spikes plates for puncturing the base of Battery for draining of acid in acid draining machine.

The Hoods over acid draining machine and acid collection battery roller conveyor are provided to capture any unwanted fumes / gases. The acid is collected into Acid proof Lined tanks where it is treated with Lime Solution or Caustic Soda & is neutralized. After neutralization some salts are obtained as bye product which is sent to dump/ sale in the market and neutralized water is sent to process of washing and scrubbing. These drained dry batteries are then sent for further processing.
