Ausmelt Ltd. is global technology provider in non-ferrous metal industry since past 25 years. Ausmelt holds expertise in designing and supplying Top Submerged Lance (SBL) Smelting Technology. It has also achieved commercialization of process globally and has more thirty TSL furnaces all over the globe.
Ausmelt has its installations in China, Korea, Germany, Zambia, Russia, Japan and other countries. In India Ausmelt has their installation at Birla Copper and Hindustan Zinc Ltd. The Joint Venture between GRAVITA Exim and Ausmelt Ltd. will help synergize their strengths in “Secondary Lead Smelting Technology”.
The global market for lead acid battery recycling is very large. It is estimated that out of the total 8 million global lead productions, 70% is produced via secondary route. While still the much of this recycling is carried out in small backyard operations which are environmentally unhealthy, there is a very wide scope for the modern, efficient and environmentally sound facilities. Thus the Gravita-Ausmelt combined offering will be targeting these mid size recyclers.
GRAVITA has 28 installations running in 21 countries, proving its strength in engineering, designing and equipment supply and project execution, whereas Ausmelt owns Superior Smelting technology, this venture will make a total powerful offering for the increasing and competitive market.
